25 Million Special Q&A with Dhruv Rathee

What's the name of baby Rathee?

Do you want to sleep too? Oh, so sleepy. "In this video, wear a shirt please.

Like if you agree." Unfortunately, your wish won't be fulfilled.

Should being a world leader be our only objective? In my opinion, no. Many times, people who don't like my videos

write things like, Dhruv Rathee brainwashes people, he knows how to manipulate people.

"With great power comes great responsibility." And 25 million means, this channel is watched not only in India,

rather, it is one of the biggest educational channels in the world. Because me aim is, to have these educational videos be used in schools and universities.

I will never recommend dropping out from your studies to become an influencer. Those who drop out from school to take up a career,

to be an 'influencer,' the content's quality is different. "Where do you see yourself on the graph of left wing and right wing?"

Am I left wing or right wing? "Do you believe in God? If yes, then is it formless or not?"

"Do you believe in religion?" Do I believe in any God? What do you guys think?

How are you guys doing? Welcome to this special video. After a long time, to answer all of your questions,

I am making this casual and raw-styled video. And first of all, I would like to thank all of you.

We have reached the 25 Million Subscribers milestone. This is such a huge number.

Think about it, especially, for an educational channel. It is comparatively easier to reach this level in the comedy and entertainment genres.

But for an educational channel to reach this level it truly means a lot.

And that's why I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support.

I have always believed in this quote, "With great power comes great responsibility."

And 25 million means that not only in India, this channel is one of the biggest educational channels in the world.

The responsibility increases unimaginably. Because in my genre, in my niche,

I am one of the frontrunners. So whatever I do here with my channel, many people will follow it

and it will become like a standard in the industry. Think about it, this happens in every industry. In Bollywood,

if the top actor starts selling tobacco products, then the other actors will consider that the standard.

A legit way to earn money, and they would follow it. In politics, if the top politician believes in buying and selling MLAs,

engages in horse trading, then the other politicians will think of it as the standard. If the person on top can do it, they will think that it's acceptable.

In my genre, this is how I see my actions. Everything I do will become a standard.

That's why, in my opinion, it is important to maintain the highest standards. You already know about my policy on promotions.

I never promote tobacco, cigarettes, gambling apps, betting apps, alcohol, etc.

I have talked about this in detail in an older video. But I would like to show the standards I follow in other aspects.

For example, the videos you watch, what is their factual accuracy?

How objectively are these videos being made? We adopted a new standard a few months ago regarding this.

Any statement that I make in the video, is being fact-checked. For example, look at this.

This file is our fact review of the Ambani video. This is a 48-page document made by our team.

For the past few months, for every single video, we have been making this kind of a document, that works as fact-checking.

In this document, on the left side, you'll see every statement made by me,

the facts, not the opinions, and the source of that statement with its link mentioned beside it.

For example, take any point from the video, like, on page 16, I talked about

the open war which was being fought in the media where Anil had the upper hand. I didn't make it up.

There was a source for that. The source was Rediff's article from December 8, 2004. The link to that is here.

The source is verified first, and after verifying it, we write down how reliable it is.

Measuring it in terms of High, Low or Moderate? This was tagged as Moderate. We have our own internal systems for this.

I am sharing this with you so that you can understand our new standard and can trust our videos even more.

If you scroll down you'll see that, every factual statement in that video, every fact, every data point,

there's a documented link to all of them. So, for now, we have been doing this internally for the last 3-4 months.

Now, I would like to ask you, would you like to use this document publicly as a resource?

If most of the people say yes to this, then we will start making a public version of this. And for every video,

you will get the link to this source document in the description, so that if you need to double-check any point or do your own research,

you can do it easily. With this, the chances of making a mistake have dropped drastically.

And in addition to this, the next thing we have done is this webpage, dhruvrathee.com/corrections.

If any mistake slips into any video, then there is this webpage to track all the mistakes.

I want to be more transparent with you. In some of the older videos, a few words,

data points or figures might have been wrong. You can always find those together on this webpage.

So I hope this will help students and teachers especially. Because I want these educational videos

to be used in schools and universities. And to have teachers and professors trust this content.

Third, the standard for Dhruv Rathee Academy is that three courses have been released on the Academy; Time Management Course, YouTube Blueprint Course,

and ChatGPT Course. We received a lot of feedback on these courses and many people were asking about the next course.

We chose to delay the next course, because over the last few months, I was focusing on improving the existing courses.

Take the ChatGPT Course for example, initially, it was only 4.5 hours long when it was released. Now, it is an 8.5-hour-long course.

Numerous new lessons have been added to it, with the updates in ChatGPT and AI.

Time Management Course for example, was only in English initially. After many of you demanded, the entire course was remade in Hindi.

So that all the courses are in Hindi with English subtitles. Your wishes, your feedback,

we have tried to incorporate all of them so that the courses you get are of the highest quality and highest level.

Perhaps this is why people's feedback on the courses has been overwhelmingly positive. 96% of the people who have taken the courses

have given positive reviews. I have also implemented a new and detailed feedback system.

You can see it on the screen. This is a way to get direct feedback from the viewers. And I didn't want to make a new course until

I achieved this level of customer satisfaction for existing courses. And on this festive occasion of Diwali,

I bring you good news. I have a Diwali gift for all of you. Dhruv Rathee Academy is offering you a flat 56% off.

Highest ever discount. Whichever of the three courses you choose to purchase, Time Management, YouTuber course or ChatGPT course,

you will get 56% off on all courses if you use coupon code DIWALI56

But this discount will be available only till 3rd November. So, you need to go and check it out soon. The link is in the description below.

Or you can scan this QR code. Now, let's start with the Q&A. I have Juli with me who will ask questions

and I will answer them. "In this video, wear a shirt.

Like if you agree." Unfortunately, this wish will not be fulfilled.

What is his name? Antonio, the merchant. I'm sure it's Antonio the merchant.

Unfortunately, this wish of yours will not be fulfilled. Because I have given away all my shirts.

Because, to wear a shirt, you need to do so many buttons. I can't bear how much time it wastes.

You can wear a T-shirt or take it off in two seconds. That's why I don't like to wear shirts.

Next question. "How to stay focused on studying with all those distractions and a society full of influencers saying studies are not important?

And are studies worth leaving? Please take my question." Who says that? I think this is a stupid statement for anyone to say.

Because I will never recommend quitting your studies to be an influencer.

Even in my YouTuber course, I think, the second lesson talks about this,

whether you should quit your job to become an influencer. I clearly say that you should not quit your job.

This is a part-time role, and you should not leave your studies at any cost. Because studying builds the foundation of

knowledge and education for your entire life. Many people think that what they learn in Maths, like matrices,

derivatives, integration, they won't use it ever in their lives. True, you may never use these in your life.

But when you are learning these things, and the skills you are learn along with these,

those skills will help you throughout your life. Skills related to critical thinking, related to problem solving, even memorisation skills,

handling various challenges. When you do this in school, you learn things for life.

And those who drop out of school and take up another career, become influencers, you can see the difference.

Those who have not completed their education, are evidently different. Because they may become successful in this field,

but they won't be able to succeed much further. Because there are challenges in every field, there will be problems everywhere, and the way to overcome those problems,

you learn it in school and college. That's why education is important. "First, who is your favourite cricketer and IPL team?

Second, do you love cricket? Third, how do you become a Dhruv Rathee?"

I used to be a big cricket fan at some point. I think I have followed cricket from 2008 to 2014-15.

I was a die-hard cricket fan. Actually, I developed an interest in cricket only after 2007,

when India won the T20 World Cup. That's why my favourite cricketer is MS Dhoni

and my favourite IPL team is Chennai Super Kings. Maybe like many of you.

And the cricketers of that time were really next level.

You might remember, if you followed cricket back then. Michael Hayden's Mongoose cricket bat

or Malinga's bowling action and players like Pollard.

So, when these players from that era retired, I lost interest in cricket over time.

I think I barely watched cricket after 2015-16. I still watch a little bit, but I don't have as much interest.

Like, I do watch the World Cup. "My question is, how to become Dhruv Rathee?"

I noticed that 3,000 people liked this question.

I think this is a wrong mindset. Why do you want to become like me?

You should become the best version of yourself. Take me for example, as a child, had I wanted to become like some other person or celebrity,

could I have become Dhruv Rathee? No. I don't understand why people want to be like every famous person they come across.

Don't idealise anyone so much that you want to become like them. Because my journey, and for that matter anyone's journey,

is shaped by their experiences, their desires, and their own motivation.

And experiences are unique to everyone. Why do you want to walk on someone else's path when your path may offer you even more potential?

Don't try to turn yourself into someone else. Embrace your strengths, your individuality, and your aspirations

so that you can become the person you have the potential to be. "Where is your house? Where do you live now?

How much money have you earned from YouTube? How old are you? Why don't you live in India? How did you succeed so quickly?

Mother and father name?" You are asking for complete bio data. I won't answer these questions about where I live, my parents's name,

because of privacy. Because privacy is very important. Most people don't understand this.

Many influencers don't understand this. But I have made a video on my personal life story. If you haven't seen this video,

you can find the link in the description. I won't talk about my private life any more than what I have in this video.

Especially about my family members. "What's the name of baby Rathee?"

Again, this is something that I don't want to share because of privacy. But you can call baby Rathee any name you want.

Junior Rathee, Junior, Baby, whatever you wish.

Or Beta. Beta is a good name. You can call him Beta, I will also call him Beta on camera.

"Where do you see yourself on the graph of left-wing and right-wing?"

These things, left-wing and right-wing, are all labels. Stop chasing labels. I explained the true meaning of left-wing

and right-wing in the French Revolution video the original meaning of these terms.

But today, people have forgotten the meaning of these terms and have misused them so much that

these labels hold no significance today. In India, if you ask people the meaning of left wing and right wing

most people have this perception that if you support Modi, you are right-wing and if you oppose Modi, you are left-wing

but this is what left-wing and right-wing means. I will simply ask you to stop associating yourself with the labels of left-wing and right-wing.

These are useless. Instead, focus on policies. Whenever you discuss politics with someone

don't talk about being right-wing or left-wing,

Talk about the policies you want to see. Do you agree that the government should ban tobacco products?

Do you believe that the government should spend more on building good schools and hospitals?

Do you believe that it is important to protect our environment and to conserve our biodiversity?

Do you believe that companies should not exploit their workers? That there needs to be a 40-hour work week.

Do you believe that the difference between rich and poor should be limited? And should a poor person also get equal opportunity to rise in life?

These are the questions, friends, that I think most of you will answer with a yes.

And these are the things worth discussing. Because when you start chasing labels, then politicians will use it to divide us.

But if you keep the conversation on policies, then we will be able to see real development in our country.

"How is brainwashing done through social media?" This is an interesting question. Many times, people who don't like my videos,

accuse me of brainwashing and manipulating people.

They call me a manipulator. But in my opinion, when someone is writing such things,

it's simple because they don't have a counter to my arguments. That's why they write such things.

When people start using vile language and writing such things, they don't have an answer to my facts.

And they say such things to satisfy their ego. They are not ready to accept that

their opinion on a certain topic might be wrong. But if you're asking this question genuinely, about social media is used to brainwash people,

the answer to this is, by showing selectively cherry-picked news,

whose sole purpose is to spread hatred in society. OP India, ANI, and these manipulative media platforms,

what they do is they show you news selectively. Suppose there are 80 murder cases in the country.

What will they do? They will choose 2-3 such cases where the crime is committed by a Muslim and the victim is a Hindu.

And they will keep on repeating such news, to shape the perspective that Hindus are in danger.

This is the real way to brainwash people. And during this process, they will also sprinkle in fake news. pinning the blame on a Muslim even if there was no such angle to begin with.

That is why these people have a problem with fact-checkers. Because their lies are caught and their agenda comes to light,

that they are trying to project that Hindus are in danger. I had talked about this in detail in this video.

There is a centralised agency working on this. The messages that you get on WhatsApp, the news that you see on TV,

the news that you see on social media, they selectively push this agenda.

They have many tactics. Another strategy is to emotionally enrage people.

To make people angry. To show news that will cause extreme anger in people.

What do they do for this? If there is a crime, they will start describing it in gruesome detail.

They will talk about the crimes that did or might have happened in the case. Trying to get you to imagine what was done to the victim.

Anyone seeing, hearing or reading it would start feeling disgusted. These emotions, disgust and anger,

all these negative emotions, they are used in this game to instil fear in you.

If you look at the definition of brainwashing, or just ask ChatGPT once, "Brainwashing involves coercive methods to manipulate someone's beliefs or actions,

often through repetitive messaging." Repeating the same stuff countlessly. Repeatedly telling you that Hindus are in danger.

"...and doesn't allow the individual to evaluate information freely. This process bypasses critical thinking."

These people don't want you to think critically. That's why they are after the fact checkers, universities, and colleges.

Suppressing the education system, because they don't want people to think critically or to think on their own.

So whoever dares to ask questions is labelled a traitor or Pakistani. These labels are used so that people don't get the chance to hear their questions.

This is quite interesting and can be a standalone topic. We can make a video on this.

If you'd like to watch a video on this, let us know in the comments below. The next question is, "Dhruv Rathee's most loved movie?"

And I have already answered this one, 3 Idiots. And someone has already mentioned 3 Idiots in the comments.

And someone wrote, PK. These are my two top favourite movies. So someone asked, "Except PK and 3 Idiots,"

So except PK and 3 Idiots, I like space-related movies a lot. I like science fiction and mystery movies a lot.

So I would say, I think, Interstellar is among one of my favourites.

And I loved The Martian too. "My question is, why do you prefer living in another country instead of India?

Just a genuine question. Hope you would answer." This question, I think, when I made the community post for this Q&A,

this was the top comment. With more than 25,000 likes. So, friends, the thing is, when I went to Germany,

I was 17 years old and went there to study. And 2 years later, I met Juli.

And while I was studying there, I started creating content for YouTube. After a few years, over the course of time, I asked myself,

whether I should move back to India or not. But there were many personal and professional reasons,

one of those was that I felt I had adjusted well here. And I could work well here.

Because this is something that I can do online from anywhere in the world. The second reason was that if I move back to India,

then Juli will also need to move with me. And it can be a little difficult for Juli to adjust in India.

Because she was born and raised here in Europe, the climate and environment here is more comfortable for her.

And moving to a country like India will be a huge culture shock for her. So these were some of the personal, professional, and privacy-related reasons.

I can't tell you all of them in this video. But even though I am not in India,

India remains in my heart. And I keep coming to India. Maybe in future, I might think about this question again whether or not to settle in India.

For now, it's difficult to say anything for sure. It's like the question people ask, whether I want to be a part of politics.

At times I feel like I should, it's important. Other times I am not sure whether I want to make such a big sacrifice.

So it's difficult for me to say anything now. The situation will change in the future. My motivations may change in the future.

And these are some things about which you cannot say anything for sure. By the way, a question related to this,

many people ask that even though I don't live in India, why do I make videos about India? I think this is a stupid question.

I mean, people who do say such things, often don't like me or my videos.

But they are the first to share their opinion on any development in Israel-Palestine. They share their opinion on the Russia-Ukraine war.

Even if they live in America, they are there chanting for Modi. Basically, their problem isn't with

me talking about India while living abroad. Their problem is that I'm not favouring them even though I don't live in India.

Overall, if you ask me about this, today, we live in a globalised world. If something happens in one corner of the world,

it often has an impact on other countries as well. If the Amazon rainforest is burnt and the Brazilian government does nothing about it,

the entire world has to bear the consequences. We live on the same planet. That's why, I believe that it doesn't matter where the injustice is taking place,

everyone has the right to raise their voice and share their opinion.

Yeah, yeah, okay.

Juli has some important work, So I will read the questions myself while taking care of this little one.

Every parent has to go through these things. We don't have anyone here to help us,

we haven't hired a helper. Our parents come over sometimes. But there's no one else right now.

So that's why... Oh! Someone burped.

Okay, the next question is, "What are your daily routines for maintaining a healthy lifestyle?" This is a good question.

See, there are four perspectives on health. Like 4 Pillars. One is food.

The second is exercise. The third is sleep. And the fourth is mental health.

You know how important sleep is. I have talked about it in other videos too. Oh, what happened?

You want sleep too? You want sleep too? Are you sleepy?

No? Let's take a rest, and shoot this video.

On average, everyone should sleep 7-9 hours a day, unless and until you are a genetically gifted person.

And don't believe these people who claim that they sleep only 4-5 hours a day.

The second is food. Food is a complex topic in itself. I have made several videos on it,

on cold drinks, bread, etc. But I would like to tell you a simple rule about what you shouldn't eat.

What should you not eat? Deep-fried food, oily food, food with excess sugar and excess salt.

And what should you eat? A variety. Have as much diversity in fruits, vegetables, and grains as you can.

What most people do is, in their diet, as grains, they include rice and wheat only.

But you should try to include as many varieties as you can. You should try to eat millets.

Millets like Ragi, Jowar, Bajra, apart from this, quinoa, buckwheat.

The more grains you have in your diet the better. If you have one grain today, have another grain tomorrow. It will be more healthy.

Now, the third is exercise. There are three main parts of exercise. One is strength training, second is cardio, and the third is stretching.

Stretching, like yoga, Yoga is an amazing form of exercise to stretch your muscles.

Second strength training means actual weight lifting. These are the three aspects of exercise, People do one or two,

but in my opinion, all three are very important. Strechting muscles is important. Weightlifting is important

to increase the size of the muscles. And cardio is important for the heart. Cardio means increasing your heartbeat.

Swimming, running, such exercises. I have talked about this in detail in the Weight Loss video.

Really? You want to do it too? You want to exercise too?

Which one? This one is perfect for you.

Let's take this question from the BJP supporters. "When will India be a global leader?"

I believe this is the wrong question. Should our sole objective be becoming a global leader?

No. Let's see the current global leader. Most people will agree that America, or the USA, is the biggest superpower now.

But is an average person living in America happy? How does an average American person live?

There are school shootings, they have a problem with gun control or the lack thereof, obesity is another such issue, corporatisation is so high in America

and people's diets are so unhealthy. And then compare America to countries which are not global leaders,

but where people are the happiest. Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, these countries have the cleanest air, the cleanest water, and the happiest people.

So, I think our focus should be on improving the life of every common man. How can a country improve the lives of its citizens and the quality of their lives?

Our focus should not be on becoming a global leader. Whether a country becomes a superpower or not

doesn't affect the lives of the average citizens. "House tour, studio tour, which car you have?"

I gave you a house tour in a vlog, Do you want a house tour too?

What do you want to do? Mom will be here in a while,

then you will get milk. Mom will be here in a while.

Wait for a while, be patient. Okay? Only a little bit. Only 5 minutes.

Be patient for only 5 minutes. Okay? Let's take one more question.

I gave a house tour in this vlog. And for the studio tour, I gave a detailed studio tour in the YouTuber course.

I have talked about each and every piece of equipment. Which equipment I use, which software I use.

I have explained everything. And as far as cars are concerned, I am completely against cars. In fact, cars...

Aw, what happened? Do you want milk? Are you hungry?

Unfortunately, friends, we have to interrupt this for a while because of our Beta,

His hunger and desperation has reached its limit, so, I'll need to distract him for a while, until Juli comes back.

So finally, the little one got his milk. Now we can continue. Where was I?

"Which car do you have?" I've talked about this many times. I don't have a car. I don't own a car.

In fact, I'm totally against cars. I've made a video on this. Because cars cause pollution. They destroy walkable spaces in a city,

this means we can't walk anywhere, buildings are built far apart, it impacts our exercise as well,

there are many downsides of using cars. So I am strongly against private cars. But I also acknowledge that

my choice comes from a privileged position because not everyone can afford it. Not everyone lives in a country or a city

where you can get work done without cars. It is only possible when a city or a country's public transportation system is good enough,

that incorporates walkable spaces and walkable cities. Priyanka Verma asks, "Can you actually have fun while travelling with side-by-side shooting vlogs?

Don't you get frustrated with taking your camera everywhere?" So, taking the camera is not the difficult part,

because I shoot all vlogs on my phone. But there is the point that; when I am travelling,

how much should I enjoy and how much should I focus on shooting the vlog? This is a real compromise and does affect me.

And this is why you must have noticed that earlier the travel vlogs were published more frequently. A new vlog every week.

But now I have reduced the number of vlogs. And the biggest reason for this is that it allows me to enjoy travelling,

while shooting the vlog. But a side effect of this is that the quality of the vlogs has improved. So, looking back, it was a good decision.

Now when a vlog is uploaded on the vlog channel, it is uploaded once in 2-3 weeks. But the quality of that vlog

is much better. Because now, the 3-4 days of travelling are compressed into a 10-15 minute vlog.

So only the most interesting, the best, and the most educational parts are shown in the vlog.

Because another disadvantage of daily vlogging is that when you film your day-to-day life,

everyone's life, no matter how interesting a person you are, in everyone's life,

every single day does not have interesting parts that can be turned into daily vlogs. That's why daily vloggers are often forced

to do some useless drama for attention and views, which, thankfully, I don't have to do.

I can rely solely on my content if the quantity is lower and the quality is higher. "Sir, give your book recommendations."

Many questions have been asked related to this. One is this, "what's the book you highly recommend to your audience and what's the best book you've read so far?"

So, actually the books I'm reading right now, let me get them from my bookshelf.

So, the thing is, whenever I read books, I read 2-3 books at a time

because sometimes it gets boring reading one book, so to retain the interest,

I read different books of different genres simultaneously. I'm reading this book now,

Good Nature: The New Science of How Nature Improves Our Health. This book presents numerous scientific evidences

to show how different ways of living in nature, among trees and forests,

impacts our health and how exactly it does. Our health, our happiness, everything improves by living in nature.

And then I'm reading this book related to science, Impossible, Possible, and Improbable.

It talks about science that is stranger than fiction. It's very interesting. And in the field of politics, I am reading this book,

Chokepoint Capitalism. It talks about how large corporations

in the field of content and tech have set up their monopolies across different industries.

Music industry, film industry, and how those monopolies are impacting the creativity in these industries.

It is negatively impacting the people working in these industries, and along with them, how the creativity levels of the industry as a whole are on a decline.

It adversely impacts everyone. This question got many likes.

More than 2,000 people have liked it. "Do you believe in God? If yes, then is it formless or not?

Do you believe in religion?" It's an easy question. No. In my opinion, whatever I have learnt about the world,

about the history of our planet, about evolution, after understanding all of these,

based on the understanding I have developed, I belive that there are no Gods by whatever name.

But at the same time, I agree that this is a debatable question, it can be discussed at length.

And I respect the opinions of the people who disagree with mine. If any of you think that God exists,

I respect that because there is no right or wrong answer to this question.

Also, I would like to say that I respect all religions of the world and I understand their importance.

You will ask how can this be. If I don't believe in God, then why do I respect religions? I do it because billions of people around the world

see religion as a guiding light. Religion gives a sense of hope to millions of people.

It gives them a purpose in their life, A strength to get through the difficulties in their life.

And if we look at it from a cultural perspective, religions draw people together and keep them together. Many customs and traditions have originated from some religion,

each of those have an important place in our world. This is why I call myself a Hindu atheist.

I am an atheist, I don't believe in the existence of God, but I do follow the traditions and customs of Hinduism,

as you have seen when I got married. "Do you think mythology is history?"

No, why would mythology be history? Had mythology been history, it wouldn't be called mythology, it would be called history.

I have talked about this in detail in the Ramayan video. It is possible that the story of Ramayana

did actually happen a long time ago, but in a realistic way. And over time it is possible that

as the story was passed on, modifications crept in, people added their exaggerations

and the story turned into the Ramayana we know today. "Do you believe that everything in religious texts is metaphorical?"

Now what is metaphorical and what is not, my opinion on it does not matter. What matters is that

the person who is reading those religious texts, from the reader's perspective, are those metaphorical or literal?

People may read the same text some take it literally others take it metaphorically.

I simply believe that if something written in a religious text goes against rationality, logic, or our present-day moral values,

we should either ignore it or take it in a metaphorical sense.

People need to understand this major distinction. Because this differentiates between a wise religious person

and a foolish religious person who becomes superstitious. So, friends, I hope this Q&A session was interesting for you.

And I wish you a very happy Diwali. If you are interested in any course at Dhruv Rathee Academy,

this is the best chance to buy it. You can use the coupon code DIWALI56 to get flat 56% off.

And if you are interested in knowing more about my life, you can click here to watch this video.

Thank you very much. And I'll see you in the next video.
